Parent Power Days™

Designed primarily for the establishment and organization of local and/or regional Music Coalition, Parent Power Days™ serve as a means of bringing together advocates for music education in the local school district, state or province. Music educators, parents, community leaders and others interested in preserving and establishing music programs should be invited to participate.

Normally scheduled as a single day event, a typical schedule is provided below.

8:30 a.m. – Registration

9:00 a.m. - Session 1: Presentation – Music Advocacy: Moving From Survival To Vision

10:30 a.m. – Break/Refreshments

11:00 a.m. - Session 2: Identifying & Defining Local Issues in Music Education

Noon – Lunch

1:30 p.m. - Session 3: Brainstorming Local Issues and Strategies

2:30 p.m. – Break/Refreshments

3:00 p.m. - Session 4: Organizing the Coalition/Establishing Strategies for Success

4:00 p.m. - Departure
